The Federation of Dutch Medical Scientific Societies (FDMSS) aims to represent the various professional and scientific biomedical societies by promoting interdisciplinary communication and self-regulation. Deregulation has become a major activity e.g. by means of Codes of Conduct. This is a necessity in an era of abundant and overlapping regulation of biomedical science. The FDMSS bundles more than 35 scientific biomedical societies with all together 13,000 members.

Developed by Federa:
Self-regulatory codes of conduct for Observational Research with personal data (2004) and tissue (2001)

Code for adequate secondary use of data (2004)

Code for adequate secondary use of tissue (2001)
