By 2007 we started a yearly European newsletter on European regulation of observational research, together with the IEA/EEF for the boards and relevant subcommittees of the national epidemiological societies of the Netherlands, Finland, Germany, UK, and Spain. By closely following the European regulations we want to be prepared for their impact on the national level.
